Ages ago, powerful magic sorcerers from the Kerrhylon clan once served Tiamat, the evil dragon queen. Since Tiamat’s downfall, the clan became scattered throughout the land and underground. A small subset of the clan, covered with deep red scales, settled in a vast, impenetrable forest. This is the legacy Arjan (pronounced ARE-hahn) claimed. He was trained in the way of the hunter, and became a highly respected member of his clan. He even developed a unique style of hunting with two whips, grappling and snapping at even colossal beasts for food and honor for his small clan. Arjan’s life changed when the clan elder, blessed by Bahamut the good dragon god, had a vision of Arjan leaving the clan and finding an old silver dragonborn sage to help him recover the lost lore and history of dragonkind.
Arjan left his clan and travelled through the mountains to find this old sage. In the mountains he met Sporck, a half-orc whose village elder (also inspired by a vision) sent him off on a quest to find a silver dragonborn sage and help him recover lost stories and songs. When the two adventurers realized they were on the same quest, they saw the hand of destiny and journeyed together. They found the sage in the city, the Capitol, at the top of Capitol Peak. There they found and met Yarjerit Tinntinabulaar. They became apprentices to this old dragonborn, and they accomplished many recovery missions together, under Yarjerit’s guidence and building his library of dragon lore.
Though Arjan is well-liked by his friends and associates, he tends to keep to himself, always wary of strangers and at times frustrated by Sporck’s brash bursts of extroversion. But, when he’s alone with those he truly trusts, like Yarjerit and Sporck, he displays surprising wisdom and compassion.
